Symptoms of damage: The damage caused by the citrus leafminer is called "ghost drawing symbols," which is the main pest of citrus new shoots. Adult moths lay eggs on the newly emerged shoots, and within a few days, the larvae burrow into the tender leaves, feeding on the leaf flesh underneath the epidermis, forming tunnels with a protective layer. This causes the leaves to curl, harden, shrink, and even fall off. It mainly damages summer shoots and autumn shoots, with more severe damage occurring in autumn shoots.
