Tomato plants (Solanum Lycopersicum L.) are one of the most widely planted horticulture crops in the world. Despite its importance, tomato is the most vulnerable vegetable to diseases, pests, insects, and other pests, one of which is Meloidogyne spp; a root-knot nematode. According to studies, root-knot nematode causes a 26.5% to 73.3% drop in tomato output, resulting in around $125 billion in yearly losses worldwide.

The primary method to control root-knot nematodes involves chemical nematicides like Fluopyram 400g/L SC, applied via irrigation at 0.02-0.04 ml per plant, or Fosthiazate 150g/L GR, spread on soil at 15-19.5 Kg(L)/ha. These treatments target nematodes effectively, safeguarding crop health and yield.
